 I have taught you how to grow your dahlias now let me show you how to store them for the winter so you can enjoy them again next year!  You loved watching your dahlias grow and bloom all summer but hate to say goodbye in the fall.  I will show you how to divide and store your dahlias for the best chance of successful storage for the following spring.

If you would like to bring your own tubers in:  Cut the plant down and leave part of the stem as a handle, dig them up a couple days before the workshop, wash off the dirt with a hose, let dry for a couple hours then store in a paper bag in a cool place until the class. You don’t want them drying out too much.  Or you can practice on one of our dahlia clumps. 

I will show you how to identify “eyes” or future sprouts and how to divide clumps for maximum tubers to replant next spring. I will also show you ways we store our tubers to keep them safe through the winter.
